Following God isn’t always easy. But it is possible. And making those efforts will bring great power and goodness into our lives.
Each of us has individual trails that we have to walk. Those trails are challenging, painful, and even scary at times. But we don’t walk them alone. We need a new generation of pioneers – pioneers who rely on Christ as they build bridges of compassion and work toward a unified community.
The fact is, we all need spiritual boosts once in a while. A solid reminder that the efforts we’re making are worthwhile. That we aren’t expected to be perfect in our efforts, we just need to make the efforts. That when we’re broken – as we ALL are, in one way or another – we have someone who can heal us, put us back together.
We’ve been blessed with the kingdom of God. And with that blessing comes the responsibility of caring for and growing the kingdom. The work of God is not for God to do alone; He brings us into it. It becomes our own. Our greatest gift and blessing is to be one with God in His work.
God is a great advocate for freedom. His plan centers on freedom. But we need to work to support and maintain freedom in our daily lives.
Father’s Day is always special to me because it inevitably reminds me of my Father in Heaven. Our fathers are asked to fulfill a holy capacity on earth by representing fatherhood to God’s children and showing them, to the best of their ability, who God is and what our relationships with Him should look like.
What do we do when we’re faced with situations that challenge us to do things we wouldn’t normally do? How do we hold our ground?
If you aren’t sure what you can do to start experiencing faith on your own, here are a few things you can try. Just remember – faith isn’t about the results of your actions; it’s about doing what you think is right and trusting that God will guide you and help you along the way.
It just isn’t possible for us to progress without our God. Our weaknesses, our sins all hold us back from that progress if we try to do it alone. We desperately need God.
